We transcribe dictation from a wide variety of formats including MicroCassette, DSS, AVI, and WMA.
We only do ‘straight dictation’, we do not do dictation into client provided templates.
- Allowed example: Dictate a letter into a document.
- Disallowed examples:
- Provide a template and dictate only particular sections or parts.
- Ask that we dictate or data entry into something like an Excel spreadsheet.

Pricing: Please select one of the following options:
- Not professionally recorded.
- Using the DSS format. (audio is highly compressed)
- Any other high compression format (DVF, etc.)
- Recorded on Microcassette.
- Excessive room or office noise.
- Heavy Accent.
- Speakers using English as a second language.
- Poor sound quality (tape or environment).
- Material is of a highly technical nature.
Excessive Noise: Type 2 files with excessive noise in the background will be assessed an additional fee of $0.50 per minute of audio. For example, Dictating in resturants will typically have the Excessive Noise fee applied.

Type 1 pricing applies only if the dictation is recorded in using our recommended device list and the sound quality is good and clean. It has been our experience that only the devices listed below create 'Type-1 ' audio quality, most other digital dictation devices available for purchase use higher compression (and thus poorer sound quality).
We have found that most Dictation transcription is billed as Type-2 as they do not meet the strict sound quality requirements for Type-1.
